Online Partos Innovation Festival 2020
It’s time for the 7th edition of Partos’ annual Innovation Festival. The creation of an inclusive and sustainable world is what drives NGOs, civil society leaders, researchers, governments and social entrepreneurs working in the development sector. Collaboration is key to create this world we envision. Therefore, Partos, through its innovation platform The Spindle, organises the Partos Innovation Festival to celebrate innovative collaborations and to share ideas, inspiration and new trends. This year we’ve chosen a theme, that's very much of its time: Digital Civic Power. Due to the current situation and this year’s theme Partos has decided to organise this edition on the 8th and 9th of October online!
Please note: from next week on you'll be able to register for this event.
This year's theme
Our current world is characterised by a great interconnectedness in which the digital transformation has been one of the most disruptive trends of our time. A trend that offers a great number of challenges, but at the same time opportunities. The importance of civil society in the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals is widely agreed upon. Especially its countervailing power that can point at damaging processes and measures is of great importance, as well as its convening and co-creative power. What can civic organisations learn from best practices of the use of data and digital technology? How can it strengthen civic organisations’ strategies on inclusive and sustainable development and improve their impact? In order to oversee, comprehend and harness these complex developments, the Partos Innovation Festival 2020 focusses on Digital Civic Power. The online festival is a perfect opportunity to shed light on this complexity from various angles and to showcase promising initiatives, approaches and tools. Through the festival, we hope to alert, inspire and to provide a shared agency for participants and as such fuel the civic digital power for an inclusive and sustainable world for everyone.
