What you can offer us
You are a pro-active administrator, who gets energized by multi-tasking and can keep a helicopter view over many projects at the same time, changing context, strong in anticipating on changing structures and activities within your working area. A large work load, complex programmes and resource mobilisation do not scare you off.
You possess excellent administrative skills including the mastering of MS Office, work well under pressure, and is someone who is always looking for opportunities. You describe yourself as a development sector specialist and have the necessary overseas experience to bring to the table. Besides, you value quality, sustainable relations and have an eye for details that matter.
You are the stable person who is on top of progress we make in any project and program. But you will not be able to achieve this alone. Although you directly operate from a team in The Netherlands, you are also member of a virtual global team with members in many countries in the world. Thus the working international language is English. Next to modern communication tools to connect, you will in exceptional circumstances be asked to travel in order to facilitate implementation.
What we can offer you
We offer you a pleasant working environment in which you fulfill an important role. IDS has a relatively small core team (10 members), together with about 6 free-lance partners. We operate within an extensive organisational network. Our office is based in the city of Almere, The Netherlands. IDS has membership of a variety of platforms within the development and humanitarian aid branch, both national and international. We value co-creation.
Development and (on-the-job) training are an integrated part of our organisation to maintain knowledge as optimally as possible. With the emphasis on your talent and strengths we would like to look at your personal development and growth in the role of Project Administrator.

Then, a temporary contract for first instance 12 months, salary scale 8 (24 hrs - min. €2.544 / max. €3.624) with good secondary (and tertiary) working conditions conform to the ‘CAO Welzijn en Maatschappelijke Dienstverlening’ with the possibility of contract extension and permanent employment. As an employee you take part in the pension fund ‘Zorg en Welzijn’.
The Project Administrator at work
The Project Administrator is the administrative controller in project and program planning, execution and evaluation. This covers the development results, financial reporting and produced media materials for publication. The Project Administrator advises the Program Manager in the process of planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, as well as takes care of the project administration. This needs to happen in an effective and efficient manner, reaching the eventual goal that the partners will become more self-sustainable over time.
The result areas of the Project Administrator are:
- Continuation of the updating of the database.
- The handling of project information.
- The preparation of financial transactions.
- Networking, collaboration and the increasing/building of public support.
- General work activities.
