Meetup for Strategic Partnerships: Gender? Whoops!
How gender sensitive are the Strategic Partnerships? There is a strong will to work on gender but how successful are we? During the linking and learning days in February, DSO/MO presented conclusions of a review of all MTR reports and concluded that 'more can be done' on gender.
What makes it so challenging to work on gender? And why is it so difficult to document our results in this field of work? What can we learn from the experiences so far within the Strategic Partnerships: from those that have gender equality as a thematic focus, and those that have it mainstreamed in their programs and lobby & advocacy strategies?
For this meeting Partos cooperates with Wo=Men.
The program will include:
- An introduction to the topic by Wo=Men
- 2 presentations of practices within the Strategic Partnerships that we can learn from
- Sessions in working groups on challenging questions and good practices. Gender experts, including those of Wo=Men and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will work with us to identify factors of success.
This time we want to end with a market place where all organisations interested could present the tools they use to address gender in their program. Do you have something that you would like to present? Prepare a flipoversheet with a clear and appealing outline of the tool or approach, contact info, and any other materials that you would like to share.
